When we decided not to go backpacking in the rain, we spent Saturday together working on lashings and doing some pioneering in Allan Gardens. We’ve built a few monkey bridges and so we decided to try something else that was a little more challenging. We experimented with building a pylon that you could use as a base for a long, rigid bridge or maybe part of a tower. We didn’t quite get it worked out, but we learned some things and will be more prepared to tackle the problems next time.
