It seems that many things conspired against our Snake Island camp this year. We were never able to contact the right people to get a permit and then the rain teemed endlessly on our planned one day. And then there wasn’t enough wind to go sailing without simply feeling like we were just sitting still getting rained on, so that was off too. Argh! We’ve tentatively rescheduled sailing for Saturday, October 5.
In spite of it all Skipper Andrew and his team of scouters pulled together a good program for the day. Special Kudos to the Scouts who toughed it out. You guys are amazing. I don’t think we have any pictures, but here’s one of the glorious sunset that followed the rain.
