The Cubs and Scouts went to Fallbrook Trail Ranch last weekend for an amazing camp, riding and horse care experience. The site is 99 acres of farm and woodland. It’s a beautiful place even in the winter. The owners and staff were fantastic and the rides through the site were peaceful and pretty.
We got mounted up and learned the basics of guiding your horse and then went for an hour-long ride each day. After our ride we went on a hay ride and played with the dogs. We also learned a little bit about horse care and feeding.
The big hall in the Quonset hut was really nice and the stove kept it toasty warm when we returned from our rides. If you’re thinking about somewhere new and special to take your Scouts, this is a great option!
