We returned from our second annual canoe trip on Sunday. We take advantage of a TDSB PA day on the first Friday in June to allow us to make it work. 10 Scouts and 8 Scouters left Toronto at 8am on Friday and headed north to the Frost Centre area in the Algonquin region. We launched at the Big Hawk Landing.
The Saturday rain, blackflies and mosquitoes provided some extra challenges, but it was a good trip regardless and the Scouts really levelled up their canoe tripping skills over the weekend. We’re really proud of all of them. There were some low points, but some great high points as well.
We stopped for ice cream on the way home.
